I slept with a fair amount of difficulty last night. I tossed, i turned, I think I even churned butter at one point.
It was odd, at one point, my cat, Kovu, who has taken to sleeping on the box at the end of the room, must have fallen off and gotten his claws stuck in the carpet. All i know is I woke up to him meowing like he was in pain and when I got him unstuck he ran off, and wouldn't come back. I was too bleary to chase after him, but I was woried he might have been hurt.
Later, I dreamed.
It was odd, it was about a place I have never been, but know of well. There is another Pargos in Winchester, and theyre nowhere near our set up or level. They truly run with a skeleton kitchen and lately cooks have been going up there for extra shifts to help them close.
But for some reason i dreamed that they operated out of their basement and they were five kids living in the same house to do this. My friend Frank and I went up there to help them and for some reason they had a truly fucked up menu. But before you knew it, it was 10 and time to go.
And when we did, they said they really made the same food that we did and that they had just changed their stuff around to suprise us.
Weird.
Then, at some point I rolled over and was startled when I looked up and saw the door was ajar. In the hal-light that was the room at the time the door top looked like two ears and the doorknob resembled a nose, making it seem like there was a HUGE dog standing there.
I didn't like that manner of waking up.
And I am sore- my back, deep in the spine hurts, and last night my shoulders were killing me. to the point I know I could do well with a massage.
This weekend was sucky too- Saturday nothing really happened, it was just a slow boring night as everyone celebrated Independence Day weekend with their families and more of the same on sunday. Though we did get out an hour early on sunday.
Jeff came down from Baltimore on saturday night though, which was good- i hadn't seen him since the christmas party. And we got news that they closed another store in the Pargos chain. Harrisonburg is gone, leaving us with seven stores overall. I hate to say it but I think things are going downhill for the resteraunt I work at. i don't know if theyre going to be able to stay open for long in the next few years, things have been rather slow. This sucks, because that's a really great resteraunt with really great people working there and it will be a shame to breakup that family but that's they way life is, the strong survive...
Got a chance to buy a car too- My manager at work is offering to sell me his since he can't take it with him. It's a BMW 325 SE. I'm worried about the amount of times I would be pulled over, youngish kid in a sports luxury car, but you know what? i am a safe, careful driver and I don't think it would be all that much trouble. And for the price, a BMW that I would otherwise never have the chance to buy? Can't say no, I don't think...
