*sniff, sniff* We all of us LOVES you AUTIE!!!!
And trust me, I do understand the touch, caress, cheek thing. Ever se eme trying to say bye to Brooke after I have spent the day with her? Sheesh, i hate, absolutely HATE seperation anxiety. But, on the other hand it makes me cute and loveable when i am pathetic. :)
Anyways, I just watched something that I feel I have to comment on. I don't know how many people are aware of this, but I love skateboarding. I have for years, but despite all that, i have never ridden. Well, other than a casual ride down the street and the occasional attempt at an Ollie or board slide, i have never ridden. Mainly because i was always afraid of the damage I could do to myself.
But I still love it. I first found it in the mid eighties. Back when the main sets of clothes that could be found on me at anytime were an old Bones Brigade t-shirt, ripped to show the skeletal artwork by Pushead and my flip brim skater hat by Dogtown. In fact, I love that hat so much that even though I have lost that one, i made my personal heraldry in Amtgard the dogtown symbol of a cross made up of the letters in elvish script!
Yeah, back in that day, before tony Hawk made video games, there was just Thrasher magazine and these stunning pictures of skaters defying gravity. Tony Hawk, Christian Hosoi, Steve Caballero, Stacey Perallta, Natas Kaupas (my fave!) and Gator. those were the biggest names, the ones you could always expect to see whenever you picked up a mag to read.
So, anyways, what did i watch? Not Grind, i assure you, though it was amusing in it's own right. no, I watched Stoked, which would be the documentary and true story of the Rise and Fall of Gator. I had always wondered what had happened to him, since my following of the sport ended before he left the scene. Thanks to this movie, that question has been answered.
The short of it all is that he's in jail now, serving possibly 25 to life. Now, there's only a few things that you can do to get that sentence, and I'm sure if you think really hard you can figure it all out, but I do suggest that you watch the movie in any case. It's well done and any fan, whether major, secondary or tertiary will enjoy the story. I know for me it was informative.
I'm almost afraid to watch monster, the story of Aileen Wuornos. god knows what i will glean from that one. Well, besides damn that director made Charlize Theron terrifying....
Peace,
Cephy
