The GE Wrap-Up

I'm BACK!
In more ways than one dear hearts, in so many more ways than just one.
This past weekend was Great Eastern, the event that I had been gearing up for for the better part of a year. I was the Head Chef, even have a cool little belt favor that says so! (Good work on that right Sue, beautiful worl in fact!) The only problem? The events over and I still wanna wear that belt favor! I suppose doing so would be like taunting, right? But oh! I can't freaking help it! So yeah, if'n your reading this with all the exclamation marks and shit, you mioght realize that the weekend went well. It did, it did indeed. I will, at this point, stop denying I am a good cook and just accept it when someoen tells me so. (as everyone gasps we shall take a short recess)
YAY! Dodge Ball! (sorry, recess...) anyways- the weekend was great! Niki and I managed to put together three meals, the feast on saturday, the Olympiad feast and a leftover breakfast the next day and still come in nearly $300 under budget which promptly went to the charity. AWESOME! And in terrible news of terrible news, I already...wait capitals would be best, ALREADY have a "fantasy" menu I would like to do for next years event, (if I were to be able to do so). NOW that's excitement baby!
Of course next time I shall have to pay for Brookie and Jerry and Jon to come down too- As much fun as I had with the faces I had fun with, those three would have made it perfect. Well, those three, and Korrie- but I digress. *maniacal smile*
Met so many cool people it wasn't even funny: Samus, Bob (can't forget his real name, for posterity, Taly, Crosser (dude! You so rock!), Mama L (she can come into my kitchen anytime! And yes, i am aware of how bad that sounds), Pete (saute'? Al dente? *chuckle*), Sage (enough with the monkey noises already!), Nova( congratulated ME on Amber's baby...This was the funniest moment of the event, hands down! :) ), my pixie stick Sandy! (gave me an INCREDIBLE new idea for a cordial/ food.
If you didn't go to this event you missed Juicy as the head wench! God what a rack! (After we put oranges in it that is...) A moth! Flying up my pants leg and INTO MY CROTCH as I accepted a Lion from Sir Willow and Sir Liz for the feast! Thanks to Brianna for distracting the crowd with the announcement I was making her cookies whilst I crushed the poor little bugger out of existence! Had to go, it was making me all kinds of funky- wouldn't do to get up and be....showing, would it?
Huge point- imagining Dan-o in a skirt after it being told he and Sue went to Walmart to buy dry clothes after breaking down their tents in the rain. Second key point? Having Dan-o re-iterate, mere seconds before I made a comment, that Sue bought the skirt, and not he. How in the world did he know? Most people aren't quick enough to realize their about to get stung...
Funny moment- watching Niki at the FPC as she realized how inexpensive this bulk land was... It was as funny as watching Frank and Chrissy there weeks before. Speaking of Frank- remind yourselves to ask him about being used as bait for the hungry, and rising fast yeast! I swear it wanted to eat him...
The event was just amazing, and I drank more than my fair share of alchohol in the process. And, after such a large event one would think one would be slightly burned out... No, not so for me- I am excited about things, like I haven't been in years. I have things I want to do, and things I want to push for. It should be cool.
Little things to mention- met someoen named Bob from Chicago. I asked if he knew Sera, whom he knows as Lady Mia and he agreed to send a message to her that her family (House Blackband) misses her. Speaking of HBB, Chrissy and Frank brought down the go ahead on inviting Sue, and wanted me to do so, so I pulled her aside and made the invite. She flipped out, saw some tear action there... But she's happy to be a part of us.
Lets see- this has been a logn time coming, this post, so there is a lot to post. Trying to get to it all is a bit...Well, almost got hit by a car yesterday in the parking lot. Someone was about four inches from rolling over me and my bike. Quite depressing.
Last night got drunk and ...other, with friends from work. That too had been a long time coming, and somethign I hadn't done for many, many years. It was fun while it lasted, but I doubt seriously it will be something I practice regularly. But it was fun as a one time thing.
I did apologize to Amber this weekend. I had been angry, and bitter, and didn't want to meet her new guy, Joe, because of what happened. I knew I would see him at this event and so I went in with a slight chip on my shoulder. I was wrong to. He's a really nice guy, and is good with her. Certainly, in my opinion, he's better for her than I ever will be. And I want more than anything, for her to be happy. (I still make the better cordial though! )
And with this that happened, came another realization. I am happy. Happy with who I am, with what i have, and the way things are. Well, except for the living arrangements, but that can be altered...I may not have a significant other right now, or be in a meaningful relationship, and there is certainly no one I am being good for. But... I know now, I don't really need that. It will happen, at some point, but I'm nopt overlly worried about when, or if it does. I just want to have fun with my friends right now, and those that I work with. That's all.
Anyways, I need to jet across town and get a few things so I will end this now. I'll try to get here tomorrow and post more, but who knows?
By the way Brooke- saw your diary, about the post you stole from Jon's diary. One thing I want to do with you? Do I really have to narrow it down thusly? (*grin*) Ok, ok- the perfect evening with you is what I want: you, me, a box of wine, and a quiet park with a swingset, just perfect for catching up on all the things that have passed. Oh, and Bruno can be there too :) (unless it's raining)
Anyways, cha cha for now- i love you all,
Cephy
