Abcess Update, pt 2
2004-05-01||xx||2:04 p.m.
Just an update- went to the hospital today, had my abcess looked at. The doctor, damn him, ran his finger up along the affected area and pressed down to determine the area of affect. The spike of pain that shot through me at this action was reminiscent of when I had cut the tip of my finger off and has stayed with me for the past SEVERAL hours. But, I did get the name of a dentist to see about draining the bastich, and a prescription for both Penacillin and Hydrocodone, which has managed to dull the spike. It's only sad that we were in there as well for my friend Nicole's premature birth, since her child decided to seperate from the placenta today and she had an emergency C section. She's at the hospital now, resting and on Oxycotin drip while her newborn was driven to Johns Hopkins in Baltimore because their service there is superb compared to Fredericks. Better care and all.
Monday I have to call this dentist though and he'll numb the entire side of my face and make an incision on the inner portion of my cheek for the purpose of draining the abcess. Then, after my insurance kicks in I'll go to this same dentist and have the offending tooth removed. Then, I am sure, after that's all paid I will have many, many months of re-visits as we try to save the rest of my teeth from this. Caps, etc- please remember to brush your teeth. Maybe I can get lucky and save some. I did find a plan though, that covers both dental, prescriptions and vision for an annual fee of $100 and a monthly cost of $7 that I think I will be signing up for. Get some of this shit taken care of, get some of me taken care of, and so forth. Alleviate my friend's concerns, especially the Amazing Rotundity's. It's good to know she still cares, and cares deeply. Just one more thing I absolutely love about her...
Anyways, I'm jetting- Love you all, gotta apply a warm compress and see if the thing will drain itself.
Peace,
Cephy
