About The Bewildering Ass
2004-04-08||xx||10:28 p.m.

I am about to add another entry about the bewildering ass, but...it's not the original bewildering ass of which I had originally been spreaking. (By the way Sera, my thanks on the Ghee- clarified butter is soooo much easier to deal with, though why the indian cookbook simply can't call it clarified butta I will neva' know...)

Anyways, bewildering ass- there is a girl at work, of the name Korrie. I have always had such a huge crush on her, but, like most girls I am seriously attracted to, I have thus far been unable to have a serious conversation with her. (Something about the sheer sense of wow I get when she's near...) Go figure...

Anyways, Korrie- she's not the most beautiful girl i have ever known, but, (there's always a but isn't there?), but, she has this personality that makes her shine like you wouldn't believe. Simply amazing, she giggles, she laughs, she smiles and I just melt...

So you can imagine how hard it is for me to talk to her, after all a melting icicle can't compete with a fiery flame, no matter how you slice it. But, when i get distracted, it always seems as if the flirting, and talking, comes easily and naturally. Like tuesday night- i had agreed to work for Bonilla that night, and after getting the phone call halfway across town concerning that, i went in. We did get a little busy and Jermaine, who is normally on the wheel, had to float to and from fry all night. This left me to float myself, from broiler to wheel, and help keep the food flowing. Jermaine and I work well together like that- we compliment one another without overcompensating the other's abilities.

So anyways, there he is, floating, and food is rolling, and I am in the window. Well, Korrie comes up, having just rung in some food and needing it on the fly. We cooked it quick and got it out to her, mainly because she always puts a thank you at the end of her tickets and well, that's so much more personable and nice than the other cold bastards who confuse. AS I tried to say- she's nice, really, really nice.

So right, here she is, and we give her the food, and she's like- "Oh thank you- you guys are beautiful!" and I responded without thinking, "that's funny, i was thinking pretty much the same thing about you."

She squealed and giggled, saying something about a casanova in the kitchen. Of course, this was nothing but encouragement and it only got worse as the night went on. Later, she came up and said she was hungry, and that everything in the window just looked so good. I told her to give me a minute and I would climb up there too. She giggled, told me that was a good one and that she liked it.

God, she's just so cute... I'm sure she has a boyfriend, the world would be a totally wrong place if she didn't, but...still. She's making work fun again. What I think will happen is on the days I phase out, instead of closing, I will make it a point to go and sit with them after work for a drink. And just talk, and get to know her as well as I can. See where it all can go otherwise before I make an ass out of myself. (Good at that one.)

Anyways, that's my update. I had written one at home, but the moment in which i got pissed at my sister has passed and you don't need to see that. better for me to be a happy cephy, than one who is angry all the time.

Peace out yo,

Love,

Cephy
